This site is operated by Ten Mile Electric LLC, a licensed electrical contractor based in Silverthorne, Colorado, serving Summit, Eagle and Routt counties.
If you have a question about this policy or about information we hold about you, contact us at tenmileelectricllc@gmail.com or on (970) 485-0114.
When you fill in the estimate form, or call, text or email us, we collect what you provide:
We ask for a service address because we need it to price the work and get there. We do not ask for payment card details through this website.
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you looked at, how long you stayed, and the site that referred you. This comes from the analytics tools described below.
We use two tracking tools. Both set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — which pages get read, which service someone was looking at before they called. It is used in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify you personally. Google's own description of how it handles this data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
We use the Meta Pixel, which reports to Facebook and Instagram when someone visits the site or takes an action such as submitting the estimate form. This lets us measure whether our advertising works, and may be used to show you our ads on Meta platforms afterwards. Meta explains this at facebook.com/privacy/policy, and you can control it in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most have a setting that tells sites not to track you. Blocking cookies will not stop the site working — you can still browse, read everything and submit the form.
Some parts of the site are provided by other companies. When your browser loads them it contacts those companies directly, which means they can see your IP address. Being straight about which ones:
We also link out to Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Angi and the Better Business Bureau. Once you follow a link to another company's site, their privacy policy applies rather than ours.
We use what you give us to do the job you contacted us about, and for very little else:
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with other contractors or marketing lists.
We share information only where the work requires it — for example with a permitting office, a property manager or an HOA board coordinating access, a supplier ordering a part for your job — or where the law requires it.
Inquiries that do not turn into work are kept only as long as they are useful, then deleted. Records of completed jobs, quotes and invoices are kept for as long as our accounting, tax, insurance and licensing obligations require, which is generally several years.
Photographs you send us are used to understand and complete the job. We will not publish a photograph of your property in our marketing without asking you first.
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Email tenmileelectricllc@gmail.com and we will deal with it. We may need to keep some records where the law requires us to.
Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. That law applies to businesses above certain size thresholds, and a business of our size is unlikely to meet them — but we will honour requests of this kind regardless of whether we are legally required to.
You can also ask us at any time to stop contacting you.
Our website uses an encrypted connection. Form submissions reach us by email and through our website's dashboard, both of which are password protected. We keep the number of people with access small.
No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as payment card or social security numbers through the website form.
This site is meant for adults arranging electrical work. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
If we change the tools we use or the way we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
