Ten Mile Electric handles repairs, upgrades and new installations across Summit and Eagle counties. Residential, commercial and solar, from a dead outlet to a new service entrance. Licensed, insured, and working in these mountains since 2018.
01 — Repairs
Something stopped working and you need to know why. We trace the fault to its source, explain what caused it, and repair it properly rather than resetting it and hoping. Most service calls are scheduled within one business day.
02 — Capacity
Older mountain properties were wired for a different era. If you are adding a charger, a hot tub or an induction range and the panel is full, the panel is the job. We size the new service, pull the permit, and label the directory so the next person can read it.
03 — EV
Tesla and universal units, sized to the vehicle and the panel that has to feed it. In condo buildings the install is rarely the hard part — board approval is. We do not file the board's paperwork, because every one of them runs to different rules, but we give you the technical detail they ask for and answer their questions directly. We also paint-match visible conduit so the finished run reads as part of the building.
04 — Circuits
Anything that draws heavily needs its own circuit, correctly sized and protected. Hot tubs add outdoor conduit, a disconnect within reach of the tub, and bonding — all of which get inspected. We handle the trenching or the surface run and the connection at both ends.
05 — Remodels
Kitchens, baths, basements and additions, from a single fixture to a full rewire. We work to the drawings when there are drawings, and we work with the contractor's schedule when there is one. If a room has never had enough light, we will tell you what it actually needs.
06 — New builds
From getting power to an empty lot through rough-in to final trim. Custom homes, spec builds and additions, worked to the builder's schedule rather than ours. We are usually the first electrician on a site and the last one off it.
07 — Solar
We take solar work on the larger side rather than as a routine service. Array wiring, combiner boxes, disconnects and the terminations that tie a system back into the building. Labeling is the part that gets skipped and the part an inspector opens first, so we do it properly.
08 — Commercial
A large share of what we do. Retail, hotels, restaurants, tenant finish and new builds, from rough-in through to a service panel a manager can actually read at seven in the morning. We also take ongoing work for property managers and HOAs who would rather call one electrician who already knows the building.
How it works
Describe what is happening, or text a photo of the panel, the outlet or the charger box. We will tell you whether it is a service call or an install before anyone gets in a truck.
We look at the job, price it in writing, and put you on the calendar. Estimates on installations are free. Emergencies get triaged the same day whenever we can free up a truck.
Permits pulled where the job needs one, work done to code, conduit paint-matched where it shows, and photographs sent to you afterwards if you are not on site.
Questions
What people ask once they know what they need.
Most residential panel replacements are a one-day job on site, with power off for part of it. The longer part is scheduling: the permit has to be issued first and the utility has to disconnect and reconnect the service, so plan for a couple of weeks from approval to installation.
Sometimes yes, sometimes it needs a service upgrade first. It depends on the size of your existing service and what else is already drawing from it. We run a load calculation before quoting, so you find out before committing to a charger rather than after.
Yes. Plenty of customers buy the charger, fixture or hot tub themselves and need it installed correctly. Send us the model before you order if you can, so we can confirm the circuit it requires and flag anything that will not work with your existing service.
We do, on jobs that require one. Which office issues it depends on the property, because Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon and Vail permit separately from their counties. The permit is itemised on your quote rather than buried in the labour line.
Regularly. We handle remodel and buildout wiring alongside general contractors, and ongoing service work for HOAs and property management companies who need one electrician who already knows their buildings. Ask about recurring work rather than call-by-call scheduling.
